I am writing to let you know that the effort we began in 2008 to share information about LOCKSS, Portico, and other digital repositories has evolved. This year CRL is undertaking an in-depth assessment of two repositories: Portico and HathiTrust. We are doing so to foster greater understanding of and, where justified, confidence in, these digital repositories. This will enable libraries to realize the fullest return on their investment in digital scholarly resources and digital preservation services.
Here is information on Auditing Control Environment from the Joseph Jaja, University of Maryland: http://www.umiacs.umd.edu/~joseph/ace-archiving07.pdf
As Bernie indicated this might not be a good solution, but might be helpful.

Greetings. A few months back we invited you to be part of a small, informal group to explore the benefits and costs of the various e-journal preservation solutions http://darchives.crl.edu/display/DADR/Reports , by sharing information about the performance and costs of services such as LOCKSS, Portico, and consortium-based hosting of e-journals and other electronic content. We posted eleven survey questions about LOCKSS and Portico for you to answer at http://darchives.crl.edu/display/DADR/Survey+--+Eleven+Quick+Questions.
Just a reminder about tomorrow's conference call on the LOCKSS/Portico distributed auditing. It will be good to have your thoughts on some potential new developments with Portico and LOCKSS.
The call will be at noon Central time. Call in information is as follows:
Please call in on 866-846-3997, the pass code is 103012.
