Thanks very much to all who have responded so far to my query about
libraries leaving the Big Deal – please keep the responses coming!

Several respondents have asked whether I plan to make the results of
my inquiry public. I certainly do, though how I’ll do so will depend
on the results I end up with. If I get a result set that lends itself
to some kind of reasonably rigorous analysis, then I’ll probably
publish something formally. If I don’t, then I’ll write something less
formal and probably place it in the Scholarly Kitchen or some similar
venue. Either way, I’ll make sure to publish in a venue that makes the
content freely available. (Whether it will be OA will depend on how
you define OA, but it will definitely be free to read.)
