Dear all,

An on-line survey is now open to all UK Higher Education Institutions
and Public Sector Research Establishments on the costs and benefits of
compliance with research funder open access policies, specifically
those of RCUK and the Higher Education Funding Councils, and can be
found at: https://fluidsurveys.com/s/open-access-survey/.

The final deadline for responses is 30 September 2014, but early
responses are encouraged, and any data received by 10 September will
be used to prepare an interim submission on compliance costs to the
Independent Review of Implementation for RCUK's open access policy.
Subsequent findings of the project will be made available to the RCUK
Review Panel as they become available in October and November 2014.

The survey consists of 21 questions, and requests data on article
numbers and costs in addition to narrative responses. The vast
majority of the questions are optional, in recognition of the fact
that the quality of data available in this area is variable, but
institutions are encouraged to provide informed estimates where actual
data is unavailable. As a minimum all institutions are encouraged to
complete Qs 1-7 on the typical time taken to process gold and green
open access articles, which should take only 15-20 minutes.

The survey is best completed on a desktop browser, and please note you
must submit your responses at the end of the survey for them to be
included in the analysis.

The full set of survey questions is available to review in pdf:
