"Indeed, in an April 22 letter to LSU library director Stanley Wilder,
the company did not explicitly acknowledge the suit, but did attempt
to negotiate a new deal, proposing that LSU "add a minimum of $170,000
of additional 2017 subscriptions to their existing contract" and pay
an additional $30,000 in fees for the 2017 subscription period. LSU’s
existing Elsevier contract is said to be worth more than $1.5
million."
