Is the UC Berkeley Library required to provide equitable access for people with disabilities and have inclusive collections? UCB Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education Cathy Koshland promised "the creating “new public content that includes accessible features.” I just wonder why it has not been done in the first place. Technology was there. I mostly wonder about the second Koshland's statement. Koshland commented, that moving the content out of public space will help the USB “better protect instructor intellectual property from ‘pirates’ who have reused content for personal profit without consent.” I thought these lectures were covered by CC licenses Sent from my iPhone > On Mar 22, 2017, at 5:46 PM, LIBLICENSE <[log in to unmask]> wrote: [log in to unmask]: In which the videos get a new life: "Today, the University of California at Berkeley has deleted 20,000 college lectures from its YouTube channel. We copied all 20,000 and are making them permanently available for free via LBRY. This makes the videos freely available and discoverable by all, without reliance on any one entity to provide them (even us!). https://lbry.io/news/20000-illegal-college-lectures-rescued?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTWpOak1tWXhaRGhtTmpBNSIsInQiOiI3QzdyUW5nUlB0UzYrcTBQYzNMN2pKXC9pR3Vrc250VzRGaks4bHh6QWphZTV1STYybUE2Zm5DU0VOVnRMQktwZU9ib3FoYXc1dDJjdjFheUJZTWV2VXFuSEZqZG9NUm1VVTNtelE1aFA3SGpJdWVrbWs3K3VoSkZhc1VsOVFuRHMifQ%3D%3D?mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiTWpOak1tWXhaRGhtTmpBNSIsInQiOiI3QzdyUW5nUlB0UzYrcTBQYzNMN2pKXC9pR3Vrc250VzRGaks4bHh6QWphZTV1STYybUE2Zm5DU0VOVnRMQktwZU9ib3FoYXc1dDJjdjFheUJZTWV2VXFuSEZqZG9NUm1VVTNtelE1aFA3SGpJdWVrbWs3K3VoSkZhc1VsOVFuRHMifQ%3D%3D
