NASIG presents the webinar ER Sleuths are on the Case: Best Practices
for e-resource Acquisitions.

March 16th, 2017

1:00pm (EDT)

Understanding the electronic resource lifecycle and effective
communication are two important sections of NASIG’s Core Competencies
for Electronic Resources Librarians. The presenters will address these
areas by sharing general communication strategies, some e-resources
skills for your handy toolkit, and the important role subscription
agents play in the e-resource workflow. One electronic resource
librarian will share real life examples from her library to illustrate
tips, tricks, successes and pain points in the e-resource life cycle,
how to set realistic expectations and develop effective communication
strategies to solve e-resource cases with less stress and more
success!

Speakers:

Susan Davis is Interim Head of Acquisitions at the University at
Buffalo, State University of New York. She is a long-time NASIG member
and frequent speaker at NASIG and ER&L.

Deberah is the Electronic Resources Librarian at Wright State
University. Deberah is a frequent NASIG presenter and founder of the
Great Lakes E- Summit conference.
