*Apologies for cross postings*

Dear Colleagues,

Andrew Waller, Open Access Librarian at the Centre for Scholarly
Communication at the University of Calgary, sat down with us to share
some open access expertise and answered the following questions:

* How has the University of Calgary Library setup and implemented an
Open Access Authors Fund?

* How many requests for Article Processing Charges have come in since
then and how does the Library process them?

* How involved are the University Librarians in vetting for quality
open access journals for submission?

* How does this Fund work with the University's Institutional Repository?

* What is the relationship between the library's open access efforts
and their University Press?

* How else do University of Calgary Librarians support their
University's open Researchers?

* Is a University Open Access Mandate in the works?
