Dear colleagues,

After not having renewed our subscription to Pediatric research, the
publisher Nature is requesting us the payment of a fee for our access
to past 2012 volume.

It is the first time that we are required to pay for post-cancellation
access to subscribed and fully paid content.

Moreover, it seems that this policy goes in an opposite direction with
respect of those (see Elsevier, Springer, Mary Ann Liebert and others)
which allow access at no additional charge to content in
post-cancellation right, at least until the Licensee maintains one,
current electronic subscription to content published by the Licensor
(we’re still customers, since we still have a lot of current
subscriptions at Nature publications).

Has anyone been able to obtain better conditions from this publisher
or is this the one and only policy Nature agrees to sign?
I would also be glad to have your point of view in this matter.

Thanks a lot in advance.
With regards,
Francesca Musina
