We are pleased to announce the Scholarly Communications Experts
Directory, an openly available new resource. This is a valuable
resource for the entire scholarly communications community, making it
easy to connect with experts on variety of topics: from library-led
publishing, to ETD management, to providing digital support to
specific groups and organizations.

The directory includes responses from over 80 Digital Commons users
who have shared their knowledge of 33 categories of scholarly
communications and repository management expertise. Each expert is
profiled with his or her complete scholarly communications record,
detailing specific areas of focus and listing papers on those topics,
as well as a variety of information about the respondent’s
institution. The diverse set of respondents includes:

* Experts in all regions of the United States and 2 from Australia,
including 17 respondents from the northeast, 6 northwest, 18 south, 28
midwest, and 10 west.

* Responses from a wide range of Carnegie Classes. Of respondents who
provided Carnegie Class, 15% are from Carnegie Class 15 institutions,
23% from CC 16s, 9% from CC 17s, 24% from CC 18s, 5% from CC 19s, 13%
from CC 21s, 2% from CC 22s, and 3% each from CC 24s, 25s, and 31s.

* Responses from institutions with varying FTEs. Of respondents who
provided FTE, 27% are from institutions with 1000-5000 FTE, 11% from
institutions with 5000-10,000 FTE, 36% from institutions with
10,000-20,000 FTE, and 26% schools with over 20,000 FTE.

You can find the directory at the link above, or at
