Portico announces the trigger of 22 publications

The digital preservation service Portico (www.portico.org) announced
today that 21 e-journals from SAGE Publications and a database from
the American Psychological Association (APA) have triggered; these
publications are no longer hosted on any online platform, and are now
accessible via the Portico archive.

Twenty-one journals from SAGE, previously published by Libertas
Academica, are now available to the community through the Portico
archive. These titles were previously published as open access, and
will remain open access through Portico.

In addition, Portico has triggered the PsycCRITIQUES database
published by APA, which was discontinued by the publisher as of
December 31, 2017. Content from PsycCRITIQUES is now available to
Portico participants. More information about these triggers is
available here:

https://www.portico.org/news/portico-access-alert-sage-apa/

To date, Portico has had 47 trigger events - 25 of them open access
triggers. We continue to serve the academic community by ensuring that
valuable scholarly content is accessible in perpetuity. Portico
currently preserves more than 1.3 billion files, and works with over
1,000 participating libraries and 500 participating publishers from
around the world. You can read more about Portico’s growth over the
past year here: https://www.portico.org/news/2017-year-in-review/

Kind regards,

Sarah Glasser
