ELSEVIER cordially invites you to attend our 14TH ANNUAL DIGITAL
LIBRARIES SYMPOSIUM in conjunction with the 2012 ALA Midwinter Meeting

THEME

BEYOND THE DATABASE:  DIGITAL SERVICES ENABLING PATRONS’ SUCCESS

While offering online content is currently the norm for academic
libraries, pioneering librarians are now working on ways to support
advanced electronic resources, and develop and implement online
applications to support teaching and research at their institutions.
They offer intellectual access to, interpret, distribute, and preserve
the integrity of digital works.  Librarians use the latest information
technology to perform research, catalog materials, and now they create
innovative digital services that help students and library patrons
seek and use information.

To explore this topic we have invited two technology librarians and a
libraries dean to speak on their singular perspectives of how digital
services supported by the library impact their patrons’ success.
