One factor that I haven't seen mentioned is that Google Scholar
searches full-text rather than metadata only. This is a very
significant difference. I always use commercial A&I databases as well
as Google Scholar for this reason. For more esoteric topics I have
found things on Google Scholar that were not returned in a search of
the A&I databases.
