FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bloomsbury Publishing Plc ("Bloomsbury") Bloomsbury announces change
to its recent acquisition

Rebranding of AVA Publishing to Fairchild Books

In July 2012, Bloomsbury acquired Applied Visual Arts Publishing
("AVA"), creative publishers for the applied visual arts. AVA has now
been successfully integrated into Bloomsbury's London operation. Until
this point AVA has been kept as an independent imprint, but to better
serve our customers and authors, this is now changing.

From 1st April 2013 all new AVA titles will be published under the
Fairchild Books name.

This change will result in increased profile for all titles, through a
coherent brand that is recognized for its excellence in global
markets. It gives focus to our publishing strategy, allowing us to
maximize exposure for our publications and profile for our authors. In
particular, it greatly increases reach in the US market through the
Fairchild Books name.

Fairchild Books was acquired by Bloomsbury in April 2012.

Synergies between the AVA and Fairchild Books lists are significant.
Their textbooks have been widely adopted at higher education
institutions around the world and are used and recommended by many
thousands of academics, students and practitioners. The new combined
Fairchild Books will publish around 50 new titles a year and have a
backlist of 450 titles in fashion, interior design, graphic arts,
moving image and photography and architecture.

Bloomsbury is now the largest global publisher of academic materials
for the visual arts, which now constitutes roughly half our Academic
business.

The combined business will provide significant opportunities for
developing innovative digital initiatives.

Launching new digital initiatives

The forthcoming Fashion Photography Archive will join Bloomsbury's
existing portfolio of successful digital products, which includes the
award-winning Berg Fashion Library, the Churchill Archive and Drama
Online, launching this spring.

The recent launch of the academic area of the new Bloomsbury website,
http://bloomsburynews.com/go.asp?/bBLM001/qUYWDE2F/xQG5ME2F, brings
together books, eBooks, journals and digital product information for
the first time, all grouped by subject area. Including all AVA and
Fairchild Books titles, it features enhanced academic functionality
such as online previews, digital inspection copies, textbook companion
sites and online resources, and emphasizes Bloomsbury's dedication to
academic and professional publishing and investment in new formats and
technologies.
