And gee, gosh, Google Translate is probably making a derivative copy
in the process. Oh no, back to court.

Hi All

I thought you might be interested in this snippet.

SABAM, a Belgian organisation protecting copyright, has decided to
charge libraries a copyright fee if they have volunteers who read to
children.  (Naturally, this will include works by modern authors such
as the Brothers Grimm, who recently wrote Grimm's Fairy Tales.)

More details at:
http://www.demorgen.be/dm/nl/989/Binnenland/article/detail/1407794/2012/03/13/Sabam-wil-geld-voor-voorleesuurtje-in-bibliotheek.dhtml

The article is in Dutch, but Google Translate does a fair translation.
(Until, of course, they figure out that using Google Translate
requires a copy-and-paste, and transfers the data to a
publicly-accessible file server, which may be a breach of copyright
:-).

Regards

Ken
