Kent State University Libraries invites applications for the position
of Data Librarian from engaged individuals interested in joining our
team of subject librarians dedicated to student success.

 Required Qualifications (please see individual job descriptions for
preferred qualifications):

·         MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or other relevant
graduate degree as deemed appropriate by the Libraries

·         Knowledge of data management practices and issues

·         Understanding of the research life-cycle as demonstrated by
education or work experience

·         Experience with databases, software, and tools used for
geospatial data analysis or mapping

·         Teaching experience, preferably using multiple modes of instruction

·         Potential to satisfy the requirements for tenure track
faculty reappointment, tenure and promotion

·         Track record of ability to work collaboratively

·         Ability to adapt to technological and/or organizational change

·         Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
