Please forgive any cross posting.

Please join us at ALA Annual in San Francisco for:

“To the MOOC and Beyond! Adventures in Online Learning, Copyright, and
Massive Open Online Courses,” Sunday, June 28th, 3-4 pm in MCC West,
room 2014.

As online learning proliferates, universities expect libraries to be
more involved in licensing and copyright support. From Massive Open
Online Courses (MOOCs) to distance learning, continuing studies, to
flipped and blended courses, content selection that engages students
and supports instruction is key. However, content can have rights
restrictions that limit use in open environments. Come to hear about
some general trends and statistics and to Learn from librarians in the
trenches about the challenges and opportunities of online learning
support.

This event is sponsored by the ALCTS CRS Education, Research, and
Publication Coordinating Committee and co-sponsored by the ALCTS
Publisher Library Vendor Relations and the ACRL Distance Learning
Section.

Ronda Rowe is the Licensing & Content Management Librarian for the
