Dear Colleagues,

We are still accepting registrations for next week's free UKSG webinar
- ALTMETRICS FOR LIBRARIANS: A PUBLISHER DASHBOARD, A UNIVERSITY USE
CASE

Tuesday 14 July 2015 at 1400 BST

For more information and to register, please visit
http://www.uksg.org/webinars/altmetrics

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

- Introduction to and overview of the term 'altmetrics'
- Appreciation of how a publisher provides altmetric data
- An understanding of how a large research-intensive university can
use altmetric data to underpin strategic research goals

We welcome your questions in advance of the webinar to help shape the
content. E.g. "What are the top 3 altmetrics that would help in making
collection decisions?"

Join Timon Oefelein, Springer and Scott Taylor, University of
Manchester Library to hear their response to this question and more as
they present two sides of the altmetrics story.

UKSG webinars are:

- Recorded and the link to the recording provided to all active
registrations (so please do not cancel your registration if you find
you are subsequently unable to attend the live event)

- Open to all (you do not need to be a member of UKSG to register)

- Shared among colleagues (feel free to pass on this message)

NOTES FOR PARTICIPANTS:

These are available at http://www.uksg.org/webinars/altmetrics
(Useful guidelines especially for those new to webinars or joining
from an institution.)

We look forward to welcoming you next Tuesday or hearing from you via
#UKSGwebinar.

In advance of the summer holidays, I would like to thank everyone for
supporting UKSG webinars throughout the year.

With regards

Maria
