Can the serious deliberations on this list tolerate, for just a
moment, a bit of college humor?  I just ran across this piece on
punctuation marks that do not exist but should:

Older members on this list will be reminded of the Sniglets craze in
the 1980s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sniglet).

My favorite "new" punctuation mark is the hemi-demi-semi-colon.  But
what I really want is one that says, "Please read more slowly.  I did
not say what you say I said."
