The ALCTS Continuing Resources Section, College & Research Libraries
Interest Group is sponsoring the following program at ALA Midwinter:

Supporting the New Ecosystem of Publishing

Sunday, January 26, 8:30-10:00am

Philadelphia Convention Center, Room 203A

The publishing efforts at the Gottesman Libraries at Teachers College,
Columbia University, range from peer-reviewed research journals and
Open Journal Systems (OJS) to new technology tools that support the
initial stages of research. In this presentation, we explore new
methods for supporting the entire publishing ecosystem and demonstrate
new roles for the library in content production.

Session Speakers:

Hui Soo Chae, Director of EdLab Development & Research at Teachers
College Columbia University and Associate Director of the Gottesman
Libraries

Brian Hughes, Director of Design at EdLab and Associate Director of
the Gottesman Libraries

Rebecca Beck, Innovation Fellow at the Gottesman Libraries

Laura Costello, Materials Management/Acquisitions Librarian at the
Gottesman Libraries

Please join us Sunday for an engaging conversation around the
expanding roles of libraries in scholarly communications and journal
publishing.
