Challenging the Status Quo – Elsevier’s 15th Annual Digital Libraries
Symposium at ALA Midwinter 2013

For 15 years, Elsevier has started off the new year hosting the
Digital Libraries Symposium at ALA Midwinter. This year is no
exception, and we are pleased to present three excellent speakers on
the theme of Challenging the Status Quo. Librarians today face
challenges in terms of changes in the university's mission, research
services and scholarly publishing. Each of these topics will be
addressed by the program speakers, details of which are available
