Hello colleagues,

As a member of the Publications Committee for a major scientific
society and publisher, I've become aware that publishers (or at least
this Society) actually send out author satisfaction surveys and
collect --at the level of each and every journal title -- substantial
and detailed data on the author's perceived publishing experiences.
Perhaps some collective movement to urge publishers to share this data
openly would be a welcome development?
