We have been closely monitoring the developing situation regarding
Swets and would now like to update you on our plans to support
libraries through this difficult period.

De Gruyter will work with individual customers to find pragmatic and
workable solutions for their particular situations and we encourage
you to maintain an active dialogue with us. We are committed to
ensuring that institutions maintain uninterrupted access to De Gruyter
content over the coming months and have put in place the following
measures for all customers affected by the bankruptcy of Swets.

2014 Print subscriptions:

- Those customers with 2014 print subscriptions delivered directly
from De Gruyter will continue to receive them as normal.

- Customers whose print subscriptions are currently consolidated by
Swets in Germany or the USA should contact De Gruyter’s fulfillment
offices with proof of payment and a completed copy of our new customer
form. We will be happy to send the remaining 2014 issues to you, or to
grant access to the online edition of the journal until the end of the
year.

2015 Renewals:

- Customers who have already paid Swets for 2015 subscriptions should
contact their Sales Manager with proof of payment. Access will be then
given to 2015 content in electronic format. You will not be required
to pay a second time.

- We will ask you to commit to a subscription for the same titles in 2016.

- If you subsequently receive a refund from Swets for all or part of
the money paid, we would ask that you remit a share to us in
recognition of the uninterrupted access granted.

Customers who currently have access to De Gruyters via the ALJC
agreement on the Swets platform should please contact their De Gruyter
Sales Manager so that long-term access to the titles can be arranged.

Your De Gruyter Sales Manager will be delighted to help you with any
further questions and can supply subscription information and usage
details on request. Full details of our 2015 titles and pricing can be
found on the De Gruyter online.

From now on, De Gruyter extends its cooperation with four of its
Publisher Partners. In addition to distributing the electronic version
of the journals, De Gruyter now offers to distribute the print
versions as well. This service comprises 40 journals from the
following publishers: Dr. Otto Schmidt, sellier european law
publishers, transcript and Böhlau.

Kind regards,

Sven Fund (Managing Director)

Ben Ashcroft (Director Sales)
