**With apologies for cross posting**

Dear Colleagues,

We're excited to announce that the Altmetric Top 100 2016 is here!
This annual list highlights the academic research that has really
attracted the attention of a broader audience over the previous 12
months.

Obama, new planets, Zika, and the impact of technology on society all
feature in the list this year. Combined, the 100 articles have
received coverage in over 22,000 news stories, been mentioned and
shared in over 100,000 tweets, and have already been referenced nearly
200 times on Wikipedia.

You can explore the Top 100 in full at: http://bit.ly/2hhSgKc

This infographic also gives an at-a-glance overview of the authors and
institutions that contributed to the research:

Kind regards,
Cat
