Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for the position of
Continuing Resources Librarian. This is a non-tenure-track library
faculty position, with rank and salary dependent upon qualifications.
Excellent benefits package, including mortgage and tuition assistance
programs.

This position manages all aspects of ensuring timely access to
continuing resources in all formats, including their receipt and
cataloging/metadata, using such platforms as SFX, Voyager, CORAL (an
open-source ERM), OCLC’s WorldShare Management System Collection
Manager, and EZproxy. It also coordinates the day-to-day
troubleshooting of e-resources access issues using a helpdesk
ticketing system, and provides expertise to the library's Collections
Team in the selection and evaluation of continuing resources as an ex
officio member. This position supervises one full-time Continuing
Resources Associate.

Qualifications: ALA-accredited master's degree in library science (or
equivalent); additional graduate degree(s) preferred. Aptitude,
training, and skill in cataloging and metadata. Strong interpersonal
skills, initiative, and work ethic. Broad interests and intellectual
curiosity. Ability and desire to contribute actively to the mission of
the library and college as a library faculty member and engage in
ongoing professional development. Knowledge of emerging trends and
technologies, as well as ability to thrive in a technologically
focused position. Understanding of and interest in broad issues in
library discovery platforms, e-resources, content providers and
publishers, and scholarly communication.
