Dear Colleagues,

United for Libraries and SAGE are delighted to offer The Academic
Friend Conference Grant, which enables a person who is active in his
or her college or university Friends of the Library group, or a
library staff member who works in development, to attend the ALA
Annual Conference. In 2014, the ALA Annual Conference will be held in
Las Vegas from June 26-July 1. A grant of $850, plus full Annual
Conference registration, will be awarded to the recipient.

Requirements for application:

* The applicant's college/university Friends of the Library group must
be a group member of United for Libraries, or the applicant must be a
personal member of ALA and United for Libraries, at the time of
application and through June 2014.

* The applicant may be a member of the Friends of the Library group,
or a library staff member that works with the Friends of the Library
or in development. The applicant must be a first-time attendee of any
ALA conference (Midwinter or Annual).

* Applicants must include a recommendation from a board member of the
Friends of the Library group, or the library director.
