To be fair to Cambridge UP, I think it's worth pointing out that it's not
CUP demanding the copyright in this document, but rather the Medieval
Academy of America:

"I/we hereby assign to the Medieval Academy of America, full copyright in
all forms and media in the said contribution. . ."
