What about editorial boards - are compensated for holding these positions?
And what are the responsibilities of the these positions:

Editor-in-Chief
Senior Editor
Founding Editor
Emeritus Editor
Assistant Editor
Associate Editor

I’m certain it depends on the journal but is it naïve of me to believe
that there are some widely accepted practices?

Thinking the better we understand how a journal gets “made”, the more
informed we can be to advocate for that medium of scholarly of
communication.

Thanks again,

Stephen
