ASN ANNOUNCES MOBILE-READY WEBSITES FOR JOURNALS
May 2, 2012—The American Society for Nutrition (ASN) is pleased to
announce the launch of mobile-optimized versions of its journal
websites: The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, The Journal of
Nutrition, and Advances in Nutrition. These mobile-optimized websites
are simplified, streamlined versions of the journals’ regular websites
designed to be viewed on all mobile devices with a web browser
(iPhone, Android phones and tablets and BlackBerry; iPad will display
the regular sites). The mobile-optimized websites include all of the
article content from the regular sites.
I am happy to announce that the ASN journal websites have been
optimized for mobile devices. Busy ASN members and other readers of
the ASN journals will now be able to better keep up with the original
research and timely reviews published in the ASN journals while on the
go. Full content from all 3 journals is now at one’s fingertips in a
simple, streamlined, easy-to-read format on mobile phones or tablet
devices,” said Michael McBurney, PhD, Chair of the ASN Publications
Management Committee.
ASN members can obtain access to full content on the new mobile sites
by signing in with the user name and password for their member
subscription. If you have not activated your member subscription or
need help with your user name and password, please contact

Readers at institutions having subscriptions to ASN journals can
access full content on the new mobile sites via their institution’s
WiFi proxy server. You must use WiFi access on your mobile device in
order for institutional access to work. Note that full content access
will be available only while your mobile device is connected to your
institution’s WiFi network; once you have disconnected from your
institution’s WiFi network, you will have access only to content that
is freely available to all.
