Dear LIBLICENSE-L colleagues

I am writing to introduce myself and the National & State Libraries
Australasia (NSLA) eResources Consortium. I am the new Convenor of
the NSLA eResources Consortium. I started work at the National
Library of Australia in mid-February 2014. I have 15 years’ experience
as a library manager in specialist libraries. I spent 9 years
(2001-2010) in the Pacific where I was active in library development,
advocacy and access to information. After returning to Australia in
2010 I worked for a DFAT aid project in Canberra until I joined CAUL
in 2013 as the Communication and Policy Officer. I am very much
looking forward to working with LIBLICENSE-L colleagues.

The National & State Libraries Australasia (NSLA) eResources
Consortium was established by the peak body representing national,
state and territory libraries in Australia. The purpose of the NSLA
eResources Consortium is to secure access to commercial electronic
information resources for its members. The NSLA eResources Consortium
aims to simplify licensing arrangements, improve cost benefits for
member libraries, and to explore opportunities for making electronic
products more widely available to all Australians, regardless of where
they live.

I have re-established our presence on the ICOLC website, see our ICOLC
entry http://icolc.net/consortia/239

I have found the LIBLICENSE-L listserv a great source of information
and I look forward to engaging with colleagues via this forum, so I
thought it polite to send this introductory email.

Regards

Libby Cass
