That is good news. Knowing your views I would have been surprised if
the approach had been other than you confirm but, as we both know,
many library associations are "conservative" in these matters. I was
very puzzled when I followed through from the link.

Hello Anthony,

Sorry for any confusion here. The books in this series will be
published as ebooks and they will be available as OA.  It is mentioned
below that "Books in this series will be made available under a
Creative Commons license", implying that the books will be OA, within
the limitations of whichever CC license is chosen. The reference to
production subsidies and author funding refers to traditionally
published books, not the OA financed books. There is a funding
agreement between the Library and the Press for OA books; see my
