The Association of Subscription Agents and Intermediaries member
organizations have elected Association's new officers in its first election
held under the new constitution and bylaws adopted 1st August 2013. The new
officers will assume their respective offices at ASA's Annual General
Meeting in Frankfurt 10th October 2013.

CHAIR

Peter Lawson, International Sales Director, S Karger Publishers and Karger
Libri.

Peter has been in STM publishing sales since 1975. He joined Karger in 1983
with responsibility for sales throughout Europe and the Middle East, moving
a dozen years ago to the USA to cover the North American continent.  His
sales responsibilities at Karger include academic and corporate, for all
journals and books, both in print and online.  Peter has served as Chairman
of the Association of Subscription Agents and Intermediaries since 1996.

VICE-CHAIR
Jose Luis Andrade, President of the Americas, Swets Information Services.

Jose Luis Andrade is an expert on information and technology with twenty-two
years of experience. He has been with Swets since 2004 and is currently
responsible for managing all commercial activities in the United States,
Canada and Latin America in his position as President of the Americas.
Previously, Jose Luis held numerous executive management roles at
multinational companies including Exactus Corporation, eshare
communications, Inc. and Bentley Systems Inc., where he successfully
developed and grew the existing market. He is a member of the Board of
Directors for the Friends of the National Library of Medicine and regularly
contributes presentations and speeches to various publications and related
industry forums. He is also a member of the Special Libraries Association,
American Library Association, Medical Library Association and the
North American Serials Interest Group.  (2-year term)

TREASURER
Susan Wolper, President and CEO, Wolper Information Services.

Susan has led the company for more than two decades, during its greatest
period of growth and success. A former corporate attorney specializing in
real estate, she joined the family-owned company in 1990 as Vice President
and became sole owner and President/CEO in 1993. Susan earned a Juris
Doctorate from Case Western Reserve School of Law after graduating Cum Laude
from the University of Rochester. Susan is a member of the Special Libraries
Association, American Library Association, Medical Library Association, and
an officer (auditor) of the Association of Subscription Agents &
Intermediaries (also serving on its Executive Committee). (3-year term)

AUDITOR
Luke Davies, Director, UK Publisher Relations, EBSCO Information Services.

Luke has over twenty years of experience within the STM and Legal publishing
business. Prior to joining EBSCO's Publisher Relations team, a role which
involves liaison with EBSCO's major publisher partners across Europe, Luke
held senior sales and business development roles with leading STM publishers
including Thomson Reuters, Elsevier and Lexis Nexis. Throughout his career,
Luke has worked for and consulted with librarians, knowledge managers
research and development directors as well as legal and business
professionals. Luke has developed a broad knowledge of trends and business
models in the Academic, Corporate, Government and Institutional markets and
has developed good team working and negotiation skills. Luke has been a
member of the ASA's Membership & Marketing Committee and currently serves on
the Conference Planning Committee. (3-year term)
