I'm sharing this information, from Laura DeLancey, at Western Kentucky
State (who is not a member of this list):

*****

Starting last year, we began requesting VPATs (Voluntary Product
Accessibility Templates) from our vendors. We started by asking for
this documentation when we purchased new resources, and have also been
working through our existing vendors. We have not made it a condition
for purchase because some vendors have taken a very, very , very long
time to get this documentation together. Of course, now that they’ve
provided it once they should have it on hand! (we chose the VPAT
because it is a standard document the follows section 508 guidelines,
and is much more detailed than the usual “we strive to be compliant”
statement you find on most websites).

This year I’m continuing to seek new VPATs, but also am following up
with some vendors to get more detail on theirs, or to discuss
discrepancies between the information provided on the VPAT and the
results of an in house accessibility audit we did.

I have received VPATs from:

American Chemical Society
Annual Reviews
BePress
Cambridge University Press
Chronicle of Higher Education
EBSCO
Gale
IEEE
IngentaConnect
JSTOR
LexisNexis
MyiLibrary
Ovid
Ex Libris
Project Muse
ProQuest
Sage
Springer
Elsevier (Science Direct)
Taylor and Francis
Web of Science
Wiley

Does this help?
