CLIR has published (web-only, free download for all) a thoughtful
study, by Ann Okerson of CLR and Alex Holzman (recently retired Temple
University Press) of the present state of publishing activities in
American academic libraries, with some remarkably helpful data about
what's actually going on and an excellent review of prospects and
issues that libraries should be considering.  Suggests that there are
