Interesting, yet increasingly academic discussions . . . Meanwhile,
Sci-Hub continues to truck along, accumulating a database that (in
terms of numbers) is approaching all scientific papers published. And
people are still using it. In spite of the reasoned arguments
presented on the Liblicense list against it, or about the nature of
copyright law in general. Moral or immoral, legal or illegal,
licensed or unlicensed, the researchers are digging it. Free,
convenient, and relatively risk-free win over clunky and expensive.
Sure, the discussion has been interesting and all, and I like academic
arguments as much as the next person. But at some point, meh. Yes,
police your networks and don't start recommending Sci-Hub to people.
