From: "Ripley, Erika" <[log in to unmask]> Date: Tue, 15 May 2012 19:59:16 +0000 I'm interested to hear if others have successfully had anything changed in the AMA licenses. My searches of the list archives didn't find anything. We're looking at the JAMA backfile and current site licenses. Our inquiries about the jurisdiction/venue clauses were not met with any productive response. thank you, Erika ******** Erika Ripley Assistant Director of Collection Development Central University Libraries Southern Methodist University P O Box 750135 Dallas, TX 75275-0135 214.768.4016 -----Original Message----- From: Natalee Bell <[log in to unmask]> Date: Tue, 8 May 2012 10:25:48 -0500 Hi All, Currently the University of Wisconsin-Madison has ongoing negotiations with the American Medical Association (AMA) and the JAMA backfile license. These negotiations have been quite lengthy and UW-Madison has concern over a couple clauses regarding indemnification that the publisher seems unwilling to accept multiple re-works of proposed wording for this clause. I was wondering if any of you have had a similar experience with this publisher and if so if you would be willing to contact me off-list about your negotiations with AMA?
