In this case it was neither the ambition to change the rules of grammar or nor a poor memory of the fundamentals of the Elements of Style that caused some of the errant line breaks, capitalization and punctuation in my original post. The document I wrote had been heavily reviewed and proofed: unfortunately in the transition between Word and Outlook - which I had written in "HTML on" and then converted to plain text and import into listservs, some digital magic happened with strange line wraps and added caps. Perhaps another example of our need to be more au fait with the world of listservs and blogs. Apologies to anyone troubled by the unorthodox style. Brandon Nordin
