I've taken a look at it as has our acquisitions manager, and we don't see any red flags. Although I haven't even seen the license in question, from what I've read in all of the posts, our contracts office will not be pleased and we cannot "click through" licenses. Just one more thing to be frustrated about with YBP. Denise Denise D. My procurement officer is going to have to negotiate the terms with YBP and we'll see where we go. In the meantime, if it is required that users click through the license before entering GOBI the 1st of January, we may not be able to use the system until negotiations are complete. In my case, that could take some time. Which actually means that YBP is going to lose some money since we will not be able to order through their system. We'll will just have to use one of our other contracted vendors much more than normal. This is a bad move on their part. As a longtime and loyal customer, UMass finds the requirement offensive and the Agreement itself severely wanting. We would not be able to agree the License terms as written. ~Scott Scott Stangroom Acquisitions Coordinator University of Massachusetts, Amherst W.E.B. Du Bois Library Acquisitions Dept.
