From: Dominic Mitchell <[log in to unmask]> Date: Mon, 4 Aug 2014 16:36:38 +0200 Adding 'journal' to a name will not increase discoverability. But there are several things that will: - Using key, descriptive terms on the journal homepage, including the journal's former name and a journal's nickname if applicable, as well as any affiliations - Key search terms that people use to find your journal in search engines, used on the homepage. - Adding the name of the journal in an <H1> tag into the homepage's HTML. - Making the article titles and article text crawlable. Related but slightly offtopic, I just got this link from ISSN today: http://www.issn.org/understanding-the-issn/assignment-rules/issn-manual/#2-3-changes-in-continuing-resources-requiring-a-new-issn-assignment Dom Mitchell ---------- Vidarebefordrat meddelande ---------- > Subject: What is in a name? > From: Miranda Walker <[log in to unmask]> > Date: Thu, 31 Jul 2014 20:57:13 +0000 > > In starting a new journal should the word “journal” be included in the > title?
