It would prevent misunderstandings by novice or even experienced potential readers. I don't think it would improve discoverability within indexes or catalogs but it might on the open web. It might also make potential contributors more willing to submit to a new journal if it was clear on their CV that it was a somewhat scholarly publication at first glance.
