From: Sandy Thatcher <[log in to unmask]> Date: Fri, 18 Mar 2016 13:48:59 -0500 Some senior economists, frustrated with the time it takes for articles to get accepted and published in the major journals, have for years now been posting their papers on their websites, confident that their reputations are such that people will trust what they say and not be afraid because they articles have not been peer-reviewed. Also, some well-known professors in law schools, where journal articles are not peer-reviewed anyway but reviewed only by undergraduate student editors of the law reviews, have chosen to start blogs, which have gained stature as reliable sources in their legal specialties. "The times they are a changin'" as Bob Dylan once wrote.
