Hi all,

Has anyone had success in persuading MIT Press to agree to an
ereserves clause in their journals license? Feel free to respond
offlist. I am somewhat surprised that an entity with MIT’s reputation
for supporting a more open scholarly communication ecosystem, has so
far refused to entertain the notion of electronic course reserves,
given that probably 95% of my university’s current eresource licenses
contain such a clause and that it’s virtually an industry standard.
I’d be curious to learn about others’ experiences negotiating this
clause.

Regards,
