The JSTOR Labs team is in Washington DC this week for “Inside Baseball,” a flash build with the Library of Congress Labs and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The “Inside Baseball” hackathon goal is to “create new digital tools and visualizations for research and exploration of baseball-related collections.”

At the end of the hackathon week on Friday, Library of Congress Labs is hosting a public event that will include a presentations of the collaboration results as well background on the collections and a panel discussion by ESPN’s Clinton Yates, mathematician Jordan Ellenberg, and baseball historian Rob Ruck. You may register to attend the free event in person or watch the livestream. The hashtag for the week’s events is #BaseballLabs.
