Springer Nature is proud to honor the legacy of Cynthia Graham Hurd by sponsoring a $1,500 annual scholarship for library employees to attend the Charleston Library Conference. Can you please share this on the listserve? This year we’re making it more inclusive to include all library staff, not just librarians. This is a great opportunity for those working in smaller schools that don’t have a travel budget to cover professional development.
The Deadline is September 10th. To apply for the 2018 scholarship, library employees are asked to submit a presentation document or PowerPoint detailing a project or initiative that made a positive impact on students and/or local
communities. This includes empowering students, improving educational outcomes, supporting diverse research and learning needs, fostering volunteerism and community outreach, developing educational and advocacy programs, and more. Submission information and
