Thanks Leo; that is very interesting.  I don’t think that Elsevier’s move toward data analytics actually means that they are no longer interested in publishing content; that activity, after all, is a major source of the data they collect.  It is just that they are placing more emphasis on selling the data right now, in recognition that that is where future profitability lies.
