As part of this pilot five journals have an ongoing hybrid OA offering in the parent journal. This is to help us test and learn with this new publishing model and to understand author preferences. Where the original parent journal remains hybrid (and therefore OA publication is an option in this journal too), the author will be given the choice to publish OA in either the hybrid or the mirror journal when they make their decision about which business model to publish under. Can an author pay to make article OA within original journal *or* the mirror X journal? Or if they choose OA option it will automatically get pushed to the X journal? UNCLEAR: "You might have submitted your article when the original journal was a hybrid title. If the case, to ensure that we continue to offer you all the options that were available to you at submission, you can still publish OA in the original journal." https://www. <https://t.co/202MTw6E2O> https://www.elsevier.com/about/open-science/open-access/faqs-open-access-mirror-journals If anyone else knows I’d be glad to hear.
