At NAU, each renewal has to go through accessibility review. We request VPATs and other accessibility information from vendors and submit that with our renewal paperwork. The campus accessibility person reviews each product and often schedules phone conversations with vendor staff to discuss accessibility issues and learn what their plans are for addressing them. The contract cannot be signed until accessibility review is complete.

Hi all, I am on a committee that is looking into the accessibility of our e-resources. I am interested in hearing if any of you are actively incorporating accessibility standards in your e-resource licensing and procurement – such as accessibility statements in the license or requesting a VPAT from the vendor.

Much appreciate any insight you can provide!

Best, Jean
