Registration is now open for the 2019 Miami University Libraries Copyright Conference, taking place Wednesday-Thursday, Sept. 25-26, 2019, on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Register now!
The Schedule
In its third year, the Miami University Copyright Conference focuses on the intricacies of U.S. copyright law and its impact on libraries and academia. This year's conference will bring  together legal experts, educators and other thought leaders to focus on emerging copyright topics. Session topics are intended to prepare conference participants to address copyright issues at their institutions.
The Keynote Presenters
  • Sara Benson - Copyright Librarian and an Assistant Professor in the Scholarly Communication and Publishing Unit at the University of Illinois Library.
  • Jack Bernard - Associate General Counsel for the University of Michigan
  • Dwayne K. Buttler - Evelyn J. Schneider Endowed Chair for Scholarly Communication at the University of Louisville
  • Kenneth D. Crews - attorney, author, professor, and international copyright consultant
  • Sandra Aya Enimil - Copyright Services Librarian and Program Director of Copyright Services at The Ohio State University Libraries.
  • Ana Enriquez is the Scholarly Communications Outreach Librarian at the Penn State Libraries.
  • Jessica Litman - the John F. Nickoll Professor of Law at the University of Michigan
  • Carrie Russell - the Director for the Program on Public Access to Information for the American Library Association
  • Chris Weston - senior counsel in the Office of Policy and International Affairs of the U.S. Copyright Office
