Shawn Martin, Head of Scholarly Communication, Copyright, and Publishing, Dartmouth College 

Shawn Martin is the Head of Scholarly Communication, Copyright and Publishing at Dartmouth College where he leads the library’s program activities on open access, publishing, digital scholarship and other researcher services. 


He holds a Ph.D. in information science and his academic research focuses on digital humanities and the history of science.  Previously, Shawn was an Integrated Doctoral Education with Application to Scholarly Communication (IDEASc) Fellow at Indiana University, a program funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) designed to further scholarship and practice in scholarly communication. He has worked in the field of scholarly communication and digital libraries for over ten years at institutions including the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Michigan and Drexel University.
