The press director at the University of Rochester Press is a university employee—I believe the press reports into the provost's office, and the editorial board is university-affiliated as well. The partnership with Boydell & Brewer is substantive (though I'd absolutely have to defer to UofR for the details!), but the press is very much identified with the university and its mission.

It sounds similar to the University of Rochester Press’s arrangement with Boydell and Brewer. It retains the university’s name, but is run by B&B employees.
