Before COVID 19 students have the option to go to the library or access those databases that allow remote access, now that we are going to shift to online learning, what strategies may we continue to serve our students so that we will continue to become relevant to this mode of teaching and learning?Thank you.Rainera Carrillo-BoholstUniversity Head LibrarianFrom: NISO Announce <[log in to unmask]>Date: Tue, 31 Mar 2020 16:14:26 -0400NISO Webinar — Free Registration!
Teaching and Learning Online: Innovation Under Pressure
Friday, April 3, 2020, 12:00-1:00 pm (Eastern Daylight Time, US & Canada)
The shift from classroom instruction to online learning is both an opportunity and a challenge for faculty and their libraries alike. This free virtual roundtable will bring together experts from a range of roles and institution types to discuss some of the lessons learned, how they are managing, what has been involved in moving to online instruction with little advance notice, and to share useful techniques for navigating the inevitable constraints as well as potential strategies for success. Our speakers will address questions ranging from how much advance planning their institutions had done, the issues they’re now encountering, and how they’re managing a partly or fully remote workforce, to the likely eventual impact of this unexpected — and wholesale — move to online for scholarship and learning in future.
More information on our event page — registration is FREE, but please RSVP to attend!
